Six months from today, I’ll toe the line once again at the Sedona Canyon 125, my third attempt at this ridiculous, beautiful, soul-crushing adventure through red rock country.
Two DNFs so far. The first at mile 40. The second at 81. Both hurt, but both taught me something about limits and how easily we let our minds draw them.
This time, the goal is simple: show up, stay present, and give it my all.
Over the next six months, I’ll be sharing a lot more, the good, the bad, and the “why am I doing this again?” moments.
Expect raw takes, sweaty photos, and probably a few snack-related meltdowns.
I’m looking to work with a nutritionist again, get a proper sweat test, maybe even a PT to fix whatever’s creaking this week. All the things that make training smarter, not just harder.
And while this might sound serious (and it is, kinda), I also want to remember to live, to smile, to laugh, to love the people around me. Friend or foe, aid-station volunteer or random trail cow, they all make the journey better.
Here we go again. Six months. One goal.
So it begins…
