It’s been three weeks since the Swamp Fox Ultra, which I’m pretty sure means recovery time is officially over. Right? Time to get back at it!
I had plans to log a few more miles last week—get in one more solid run and start feeling like a runner again—but my body apparently had other ideas. Thursday morning hit me like a bad plot twist. After a 4:45 a.m. airport run (wife to the airport) and a 5:15 a.m. dog walk, things went south fast. Cue the cold/hot shivers, chills, sweats, and the whole body reboot experience. Basically, I spent the rest of the day auditioning for a mattress commercial.
But good news! By Friday morning, I was back to being a functioning human again. So, here’s to looking ahead and putting in some miles next week!
