Getting back to the weekly posts…. and this past week, I logged just under 15 miles—not bad at all, considering my main focus right now is time on feet rather than chasing mileage. The miles will come, but getting my body used to sustained movement is the priority. Saturday’s long run was a solid one: 90 minutes, heart rate under 150, and the goal was to keep moving the whole time. I’ve learned that once you start walking, it’s way easier to keep walking. That said… I did pause for about 3–4 minutes to pet a very good dog on my way back to the car. No regrets.

This week should be interesting, as I’m heading to SoCal. Travel days make running tricky, but the weather looks fantastic, and I’ve got my eye on some trails I want to check out. Let’s see how it all shakes out!
