Last week started off so-so, but things definitely got better as the days went by. Lower temperatures and humidity made my final run of the week almost perfect. Onward as they say.

Workouts & Run Recap:

  • Mon: Rest day.
  • Tue: 65 mins – tempo. Started out okay, but the shin and glute flared up. Only did half.
  • Wed: 45 mins – simple enough but the pace was quicker than expected so I only got 40 mins.
  • Thur: 1:02 – Intervals. I skipped this workout as I went to NYC for a day and didn't bring running shoes! Life happens.
  • Fri: 45 optional – Today was optional as I skipped yesterday's interval session being in NYC and all, so, I went for it. Once again pace was faster than expected thus the less than 45min as assigned.
  • Sat: 2hrs – Not too bad. My over pace was a bit high due to the short stop in the woods for a little “gi” issue!
  • Sun: 45 mins – almost what I call “a glorious run” where the weather was sub 70º and humidity lowish too. The run felt pretty good, though still sending back the shoes.

Overall Recap: 
So, on Wednesday morning, I got my run in before flying to NYC to surprise a friend. I'm not sure why, but I didn't eat after the run, and apparently didn't drink much/hydrate properly before the flight, and I got really weak/dizzy a few hours later. Not good! Don’t forget to hydrate!
