Last week, I talked about how tapering can feel like an awkward dance—trying to stay loose without overdoing it, all while ghost aches and training doubts lurk around every corner.

Meanwhile, my brain was stuck on repeat, obsessing over packing the perfect lineup of nutrition and fueling for race day (because apparently, my greatest fear is running out of gels mid-trail). But

I’m happy to report that the race went well—first and foremost, I finished! Better yet, I set a new distance PR, clocking in at just over 55 miles. Not bad for a weekend jog, right?  More on the race itself (i.e. video) to be created/edited and posted soon!
