Gotta love the taper week leading up the event.  It’s the odd feeling of less movement but feeling like one isn’t doing enough! Heading up to the mountains for Blue Ridge Relay on Thursday with F3 peeps. Should be a blast, or so I am told!?

With that I give you last weeks stats and recap.

  • 3hrs 30mins time on feet
  • 828ft elevation

Workouts & Run Recap: 

  • Mon: Rest day.
  • Tue:  1hr – basic. easy enough
  • Wed: 45 mins – all good. pace was faster then prescribed. Second Summer back.
  • Thur: 45 mins – did a total of 40 mins, and consumed too much cake and frosting from Ellen’s birthday leftovers!
  • Fri: Rest day & My 26th wedding anniversary!
  • Sat – 1 hr – local loop. slow an steady.  97% humidty
  • Sun – 30 mins – slept like crap!  More than likely the Ben & Jerry’s!

Overall Recap

I’m once again confused on why I won’t life weights consistently. Everything I read and watch online about running tells me, reminds, encourages me to lift weights as a runner.  I know what I need to do, it’s just a matter of making it happen.
