So… it’s been 78 days—or just over 2.5 months—since my last training update. And truthfully? That gap makes sense. I wasn’t really training during that time.
Recovery after SC125 was my top priority, but I may have jumped back in a little too soon. During what was supposed to be an easy 4-miler, my right knee area started flaring up—not the knee itself, but the muscles and tendons around it. Not ideal.
A mix of rest, stretching, and bodyweight work (squats, mainly) helped get things back on track. Mentally, I was a little hesitant. That fear of re-injury is real. But as of this past week, I think I’m finally in the clear and ready to get back at it.
Oh—and in the spirit of moving forward, I’ve gone ahead and registered for three more races this year:
