So.. ya..ummm I didn't get any running in this past weekend whatsoever. None. Zero. Zip. Is that bad? It feels bad. It feels lazy, but at the same time I think I'm okay with it. Heck, I still managed over 35 miles last week without any weekend long run. So I'm letting this feel of failure go. I have to. Can't change the past. Accept the reality and get back on the path.

Good Morning!

Not sure what's happening lately, but my sleep is all over the place. Not good!

For a few nights I'll sleep just fine, others not so much. Woke up this morning at 1:30am EST, but knew that was too early to head out, so tried to get back to sleep. Tossed and turned for a few hours, but managed to get a little more. Then of course I wake up 15 mins BEFORE the alarm goes off!

Was a brisk 29º out, but as there was no wind my 3 layer setup worked out just fine. Knocked out 7.2 this morning.

Only two more weeks of this before taper week.

Snapped this picture last week on the my out and back 12 miler on the local greenway. It's a tunnel I had never been through before and well, I', always a fan of tunnels. 🙂

Hi y'all --

As we runners have some crazy thoughts during our outings, and with my 50miler only 29 days away, I still have that thoughts/concerns if I can get it done. Then that begs the question, "am I actually a real runner?"... Yep.. that imposter syndrome voice chimes in and ya..that whole downward spiral mindset. 🙁

Knowing I need some closure (for now) and as I'm a bit of a techie, I knew there was someone I could ask.... So.. I went to the latest online resource to as the question.

According to ChatGPT(!) apparently I am a runner AND I'm a certified coach! Don't know when that happened! FYI.. it hasn't!

The next event is getting closer and I'm doing pretty well in not stressing about it.. I think!

So..made a plan for extending my time on feet today .. mapped a route … and the mileage added up. All good!

Didn't see too many people out, but this early bird fisherman had me stop to snap the pic.

Snapped this pic whilst in London last week, as I’m a sucker for newly found paths though I really didn’t know where I was or where this path would lead me to.

It was the only correct turn that I made on the route that I planned out as I literally missed every turn after that. Signage over there isn’t the same as her in NC. That being said.. it all turned out just fine.

Oh.. for the record, this path cuts through the east side of Holland Park from Holland Park Ave to Kensington High St. 🙂
